As the photo was originally taken in Australia under very dry conditions (and items like a disposable barbeque etc beside him). It was great that the artist continuously liased with me to modify and brighten up the background (without detracting from the original attributes at all). I ordered the painting of my friend's horse for her birthday, I did specify a couple of changes to the photo to improve the composition of the painting. When it arrived yesterday it completely surpassed expectations, the proof photo of the painting that was emailed to me was to my satisfaction, but it did not do the painting justice. The detail is superb - every marking is exactly like the horse and even her gentleness seems to come through the painting. When I gave the painting to my friend it almost reduced her to tears she was so pleased with it. An absolute triumph and a huge credit to the artist.
